Feb 8, 2011 - Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) nationalised in 1969, is one of the leading public sector bank of India.With headquarters in Chennai, IOB has over 2000 branches across the nation apart from 6 foreign outlets.Indian Overseas Bank has announced recruitment of 1000 Probationary Officers.
Position – Vacancies – Payscale :
Probationary Officer – 1000 posts – Rs.14500/-/25700
Dates: Online registration of applications – 8.02.2011 to 1.03.2011
Written test – 22.05.2011
Eligibility: Those looking to apply for IOB PO jobs recruitment ,
* Age of 21 - 30yrs as on 1.1.2011
* Minimum 60% marks in graduation, as on 1.1.2011
* Proficiency in computer operations is necessary
* Diploma in banking & finance from IIBF is an added qualification
Selection process includes Written exam comprising of Objective & Descriptive test.While the bank will decide on minimum cut-off, negative mark of 0.25 is to be awarded for each wrong answer.Those with high marks shall be ranked & called for Interview & based on collective performance – final selection would be made.
Application: Rs.400 (Gen/OBC) or Rs.50 (SC/ST) should be paid with the payment receipt, at any IOB branch.After the payment is made, application has to be filled & submitted online before March 1 2011.A printout of the application can be preserved for reference (should not send by post).
