Introduction Northern Railway of India/ Railway Recruitment Cell have announced a number vacancy of different posts in various divisions, workshops and units of North India. There is a sum of 7368 vacancies with a pay starting from Rs 5200 that goes up to Rs20200 and also has a grade pay of Rs1800. All the interested candidates can apply for these posts before 5:00 p.m. 30th October, 2012. Related details are provided in this article.

 SELECTION AND APPLICATION PROCESS

All the aspiring candidates are required to give the written test which is followed by a (PET) Physical Efficiency Test. Only those who clear the written exam will be called for the PET. Passing the Physical Efficiency Test is compulsory. Candidates with disability are exempt from the PET but are required to show the original certificates. In the end, the recruitment will be done on the basis of merit.

Written examination will contain multiple choice questions in various fields like General Awareness, General English, Mathematics etc. based on standard of 10th class.

The candidates who are interested in this railway recruitment 2012 for any of the posts are required to apply in the following way:

• Download the application from RRC website on an A-4 sheet.


• The candidate shall fill the form in blue or black ink.


• One recent passport sized photograph.


• Address of the candidate shall be in block letters with a pin code no.


• Reservation candidates are required to enclose photocopy of their certificates.


• One candidate can apply only once.
